Get to Know Randy
I am a proud resident of Middlesex County and I am passionate about serving the people of our community. As a political candidate, I am committed to making a difference in the lives of our residents. With years of experience in public service, I have the skills and expertise to lead our county towards a brighter future.
ISSUES
Public Safety
As a retired police officer and life member of the Deltaville Rescue Squad, I understand the importance of keeping our communities safe. I will work tirelessly to ensure that our public safety agencies have the resources they need to keep Middlesex County safe. There are real public safety needs in this county that are not being addressed.
Economy
I believe that local businesses and family farms are the backbone of our community. As your representative, I will work to promote economic growth and support our local businesses and farmers. The current plans to complete the water and sewer project in Middlesex WILL be a tax burden on us all. I believe that tax money is YOUR money and I will make sure it is spent wisely.
Home Town Preservation
I am committed to preserving the friendly, hometown atmosphere of Middlesex County. I have life-long ties to Deltaville. My grandparents lived and died here; my parents graduated from Syringa High School. I spent my childhood summers here, playing Little League baseball at the old ballpark and crabbing in Jackson's Creek. When I retired, I moved back to Deltaville because I love this town. Deltaville has been called the "best kept secret on the Bay". I'd like to keep it that way.
A Vision for OUR Future
I have raised five children. As each grew and prepared to “leave the nest”, I gave them all the same advice: “Create a vision for your life, then make a solid plan to make that vision a reality. If you don’t know where you are going, you can’t make a plan to get there.” Well, that advice holds true for leaders in government. And I don’t think we, in Middlesex County, have a vision. What do we want our county to look like in 10 or 20 years? When was the last time anyone in local government asked you about YOUR vision for OUR community?
